How much does treatment cost?
There is no charge for the program on this website. (to find out more about why go here) , you can use it anytime and as long as you want. That's why we call it 24/7 Help Yourself. However we do ask that, if you can afford it, you make a contribution to the costs of the running of the website.
A quick search on the internet will show the cost of other treatment modes. For example
Email counselling can start at around $80 / £40
Telephone counselling can start at around $200 / £100
Face to face counselling can start at $250 / £130
Most of these methods stipulate a minimum of 6 sessions or 6 months of weekly or fortnightly sessions - around $1500 - $3000 / £750 - £1500 for face to face sessions.
The cost of more formal treatment is also very high, at around $2000 / £1000 upwards for a month of out patient treatment and $1250 / £600 a week for in patient treatment.
Of course there are cheaper options but there are also much more expensive options, for example the famous luxury rehabs that cater to the celebrities.
How much does your drinking cost?
If you pay an average of $4 / £2 a drink (beer/ spirit / wine / cocktail) and you have a minimum of 5 drinks a session and you have 2 sessions a week, that would cost you $40 / £20 a week or $160 / £80 a month, $2000 / £1000 a year. I suggest that for most people on this site, that is a VERY conservative estimate.
This website is open for all to use it. However please remember that there are running costs for the site. So please help us to maintain 24/7 Help Yourself as a fee-less site by making a donation. A donation, even as little as $10 per member, will keep the website open without having to charge.
